Massachusetts streetwear retailer Concepts and New Balance came together to create the Concepts x 999 ‘The Kennedy,’ a 2011 release with heavy inspiration from the New England commonwealth. Drawing from the Kennedy family’s passion for sailing at Hyannis Port, the shoe combines beige, grey and tan on its pigskin suede upper, with a sail-like build on the heel counter tying together a nautical look. The sockliner and tongue feature nautical flag designs to complete the theme.
