Despite the ever-changing scene of sneaker culture, the Air Force 1 is one of the few shoes that has withstood the test of time. After Bruce Kilgore designed the shoe in the 1980s, the silhouette has maintained its structure and classic look, while exploring new colorways and materials. In 2021, Nike brought back one of their earlier retros, the 2001 Silver Snake.
The Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake returns in its original style, as Nike has consistently pushed out updated retros of the 1982 silhouette. A clash of black tumbled leather and reflective overlays compose the majority of the upper, tongue, and heel. Contributing to its “Snake”, the Swoosh is home to faux snakeskin material, adding a pop of luxury to the traditional basketball sneaker. A mini-Swoosh closer to the toe of the shoe and blue embroidered “Nike Air” on the heel tab complete this retro classic.
The Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake dropped in February of 2021 for $130.
